How to create an AWS S3 bucket
AWS S3 is an object storage service that provides Amazon web services. The durability of an S3 is 99.999999999%. AWS S3 bucket is not global. You can create an AWS S3 bucket in a specific region. But the S3 bucket name should be globally unique. Anyone can upload and backup their files in AWS S3. Access control, Version Control, and life cycle management options available for the S3 bucket. Additionally, we can host a static website in S3.
This tutorial explains how to create an AWS S3 bucket. Follow these steps to create a new AWS S3 bucket.
Log into the AWS account first. You can login by using the following URL also,
This is the AWS console access URL,
Type S3 in the AWS console and search. If not access S3 by the following URL.
Now you can see S3 home page as follows,
Now click here “Get started” or “Create bucket” button.
Enter the Bucket name and select the Region for S3 bucket create.
After filling these details click the next button.
If you want to maintain versioning please select first check box. It is possible to add tags e.g.: key – name, value – “bucket name”.
Click the next button now.
No need to change anything go to the next page.
Now you can view summery of detail AWS S3 bucket. Click the create bucket button.
Redirect to the S3 home page now.
Click the bucket and open it now.
Now you can create folders, upload files and download as well.
